Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal visited Maha Kumbh 2025 on Thursday. He took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity, Vicky remarked, “I am feeling good. I was waiting to visit Mahakumbh. I am fortunate as I got the opportunity to come here.” His visit coincides with the anticipation surrounding the release of his upcoming film, ‘Chhaava’. It narrates the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles. ‘Chhaava’ is slated for release on February 14, 2025.

On the same day, Uttar Pradesh government officials reported that over 1.47 million devotees took a holy dip at the sacred confluence. It includes 500,000 Kalpavasis and 979,000 pilgrims participating in the ongoing Maha Kumbh event. This grand religious gathering continues to attract individuals from around the world. These counts lead to marking it as one of the largest of its kind globally.

As of February 12, the total number of devotees who have participated in the ritual bath at Triveni has surpassed 482.9 million. It is a remarkable milestone for this monumental event. Maha Kumbh 2025 commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025). It is recognized as the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering. Maha Kumbh is set to continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.
